It's hard to take a white ex-beauty queen seriously as a soul singer but Kim has come of age and demonstrates conclusively here that given a funky producer, and Tim Miner sure is that, Kim can sing black sounding licks with aplomb over thudding dance computers and sighing-string soul ballads. There's also the occasional trace of rock guitar power chords to give the thing CCM appeal and though not all the songs are of equal quality this is a goodish example of blue eyed soul-style gospel.
