Kim Hill has acquired a well deserved reputation as one of the most reliable lady singers in contemporary Christian music. Since her debut release in 1988, she has consistently turned out excellent material and despite her foray in 1995 into mainstream country music, which I reckon wasn’t as bad as everyone made out at the time, she will forever be one of my favourite CCM vocalists. Her smoky contralto voice has remained in good form over the years and this latest collaboration with Focus On The Family’s Renewing The Heart Ministries organisation is one of the better worship albums I’ve heard recently. Over 62 minutes of playing time and a good live worship atmosphere, coupled with a mix of a few old hymns (“Revive Us Again”, “My Jesus I Love Thee”) and lots of good new contemporary worship songs makes this an album that I can unreservedly recommend.
