Kris Robins is a country singer/guitarist from Tenerife; this tape is a demo recorded at home, and my review copy contained 10 songs: in final form there are 15 and Kris is hoping to produce a better-quality cassette and CD. His voice is reminiscent of Bob Dylan, Garth Hewitt or Mark Knopfler - some Knopfler-style guitar too on a couple of Dire Straits-sounding tracks. There are some sharp observations of life -Robins' own complementing those of Jesus himself as he brings out the point, and the humour, of camels and needles' eyes or dust and planks in people's eyes - and songs full of worship. A strong theme through the 10 songs is the need to get our priorities right, as Jesus has power to change our lives if we clear "the noise of the world" out of the way. Good songs which need and deserve a bigger budget and better production: the final version should be worth waiting for.

Dear Joelle & Kris, I was just playing my Kris Robins CDs & thought I would have a look to see if he was still on line. I used to holiday in Tenerife but have not been back since Kris told us he was leaving for Paris & the lady of his life, we both had strokes so don't fly anymore. We are still here as the Good Lord must have decided we needed more time to repent before He took us home to his Great House. May God less you both, David & Georgina.
