Anyone seeing the credit 'conducted by Noel Tredinrick' and expecting a Prom Praise style worship celebration will be shocked by the opening track, a brightly synth-led piece of pop praise sung by Sarah Lacy. One outstanding track is John Pantry's composition "Some Trust In Chariots," he also sings lead. But soon we're into more expected Jubilate Hymns style choral work. The more 'trad' arrangements From The Psalms' and do nothing for me, the trained voices on Chris Rolinson's lovely "May The Lord God Hear Your Prayer" seem stiff and unwieldy so it's the more contemporary arrangements from the 'Psalms For Today' which come off best. A brave enough effort to get the psalms sung again in churches but not holy successful.
