Larry Ford has a tenor voice that many of us would die for! This value for money DVD which runs for 90 minutes features extensive interviews by Bill Gaither with Larry and Sherryl Ford and also features 15 live performances. Irishman Larry has become a real favourite on many of the Gaither Homecoming series and the opening track "Favorite Song Of All" is one that comes across strongly. I particularly enjoyed "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" in conjunction with the late George Younce which was recorded on the very first Gaither Homecoming video Turn Your Radio On. There are a couple of very strong tracks here; "The Holy City" and "Then He Bowed His Head And Died" both recorded live in Israel. Elsewhere, Larry describes how he felt on eventually arriving in Ireland from where his forebears had emigrated while in another passage father of six children, Larry proclaims he would rather be remembered as a good father than for anything else. My only criticism of Larry's music is that whilst all his performances are very strong they do have a certain sameness about them and a couple of faster paced numbers would have made this DVD more interesting.
