Laura Rhinehart is a worship leader at Grace Center in Franklin, Tennessee and specialises in the ministry of soaking - a type of worship that purports to achieve a deeper and more intimate sense of commune with God. This collection of spontaneous pieces recorded live at various gatherings certainly reflects and aids this advanced state of worship and Rhinehart's skilled vocals carry enough light and shade to enable each song to captivate and involve the listener. Tracks such as the opener "Drink Of You" and "Isa's Song" work particularly well and employ the effective technique of a gentle start before building into something more powerful and intense. Ample space has been left musically throughout to allow the listener to meditate on God's glory and Christ is central to proceedings with songs like the compelling "Stand" displaying a genuine and affecting declaration of the writer's faith in God. Elsewhere, "Come To The Well" indicates Rhinehart's claim that these are prophetic songs by singing Jesus' words in the first person. Whilst this might not be everyone's cup of tea in terms of worship music, there is no denying that this is intriguing work from an artist who is prepared to do something refreshingly different.
