Recorded live at the renowned Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in 2005, Laura and her seven-piece band embark on a journey of discovery - searching for love and finding it. "Intro" and "Mercy" speak of the need to begin with forgiveness and cleansing, with "Not Lonely" and "Faithful One" sounding a hopeful conclusion. Laura's heartfelt extended songs are paired to good effect with her passionate spoken and sung prayers. At nearly 12 minutes in length "Wallflower" would not feature on radio playlists but it stands out as an individual track amongst the more ambient whole. It is a poignant yet cheerful tale of someone feeling broken and despairing of finding love who does in fact come to trust, dance and love again. Romantic love has its place here - there is a wedding dress photo on the CD cover and Laura has subsequently married - but it is God's love that she is ultimately talking and singing about as shown most clearly in "This Is Love" about Jesus on the cross. "Into The Light" is another strong song vocally and with atmospheric instrumentation, especially Julia Medri's violin playing. Overall, this is an ambitious project to chart love's progress and marry human and spiritual love. Where it succeeds it is certainly worth a listen.

Product Description

Everyone is searching for love. This project outlines my journey in finding it. It begins with the need to forgive, which cleanses the heart and travels through my struggle to receive God’s love, ending with God’s beautiful gift of marriage (the last two songs were written for Daniel my husband).

In John 15:9 Jesus says: “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you: abide in My love.”

This CD has been designed for continuous play featuring over an hour of prayer, worship and personal revelation. My prayer is that we will all find ourselves in love daily, connected to God and blessing each other.
