It's a solid debut from a San Diego-based singer, though one that takes a defiantly eclectic approach to his music. Lyrically there's nothing complex about this album and therein lies the songs' appeal with imagery clearly reflective of Robinson's stated objective of bringing "a higher awareness of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ through these songs of praise and worship." The 11 tracks on the album weave in and out of calypso beats, '70s grooves, R&B, jazz, pop and old school gospel but in spite of the musical journey, nothing detracts from the central premise of the collection as a whole, delivered through Robinson's warm and soulful tone. This is an easy listening album but don't let that fool you into thinking it's one to switch off to; Robinson has a clear agenda and an inspirational hope to share through his musical talents.
