Reviewed by Doug Holland Four British songwriters/worship leaders - Leigh Barnard, Luke Finch, John Mongon, Wayne Sanders - are showcased on this 16-track, 74 minute compilation, with the tracks taken (in the main) from the writers' solo albums. The musical style is broadly electric guitar-led, verse into big chorus and the songs themselves are of adoration. It has to be acknowledged that (given the genre) there is not a weak track in the collection and if the aforementioned style is to your liking then the chances are you will enjoy playing this CD from beginning to end. All four writers have strong voices perfectly suited to this type of material and there is sufficient variety of texture, tempo and tone across the collection to maintain interest; there is passion in abundance and more than enough energy to engage all but the most reluctant. It has also to be acknowledged, however, that we learn virtually nothing about the faith walk of any of the featured artists from the songs they have offered (and thus we cannot sing of our own) and (more disappointingly) that the vast majority of the lyrical ideas heard have been presented countless times before.
