If jazz and soul is what you like then this is definitely the album for you. York-based Redman's classy, soothing vocals glide across the rhythm section and some tasty sax and flute from Jon Taylor give the album a fresh sound. The opening track "Keep The Faith" begins with very soulful saxophone before her soft yet passionate vocals work their magic. Overall, Libby's singing style shows traces of Amy Winehouse or Corinne Bailey Rae though she is no copyist while her songs are well written with her strong belief in the Lord showing. "His Blood" is a standout with great backups from the One Voice Gospel Choir. "Bye Bye Tonsils" give a quirkiness to the album as Redman is quite simply singing about the pain of having her tonsils taken out. This is an album that could become a summer essential particularly on a long drive or at a leisurely BBQ and shows Libby's unique musical talent to a great extent.
