Chartmakers Libera hardly need an introduction, having been a part of the national music scene since the early 1990s. However listening to their distinctive ethereal boys sound whilst reviewing this CD I began wondering what they would be singing if Robert Prizeman had limited himself to being their conductor rather than also the composer/arranger for most of their music. Such is the formulaic Libera sound that my favourite tracks on this two CD collection were those where the Prizeman influence is less marked. I loved their version of Enya's "Orinico Flow" for instance. Still, if a formula is popular and selling well - as it evidently is for Libera - why change it? Across the two CDs there are 32 tracks, culled from four albums, but also including six new tracks.
