This may be "just another Christmas song" but it's much better than most of those holiday ditties foisted on us each year. Rather it's a bluesy and wry critique of consumerism excess sung with husky tones by the Perth-based songsmith and with an extended guitar solo at the close. This single - profits to go to Save The Children charity - also features a lazy, laid back take on "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for good measure. Recommended.
