Originally released under the title 'Come & Rest' this has now been picked up by Kevin Mayhew. Liz Babbs, author of Can God Help ME?, comes out with a meditation on the Bible, aimed at those who are struggling in their spiritual life. Alternating speaking with relaxing music based on scriptural verses, this CD is a good idea for anyone who is stressed or depressed. Centring on Jesus' words "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest," the meditation is highly suitable for our time. The music from such artists as Simeon & John and Margaret Rizza is indeed very soothing (classical church choir type songs) and is imperceptibly interwoven with the meditational words. Don't use this as background listening - get hold of a snug sofa and dim the lights. Now inhale and let go. If you're disgusted by McKenna-style self-help, don't worry. This is nothing like it.
