When I reviewed this in CR54, I had unknowingly got my hands not on the full seven-song item but a three-song demo Liz sends out to potential concert organisers. So consequently my review makes little sense necessitating this new effort. I must say that hearing a large slice of Liz's in-concert talent (these tracks were recorded live at Wantage in February last year) convinces me that this lass is an exceptional singing and songwriting talent. Similar in sound to the brilliant and underrated Scandinavian Nina Astrom, with an enchanting blend of ethereal voice, gently elegant piano and songs which are always honest and sometimes beautiful, the effect created is of a songwriting talent, eloquently communicating the reality of a life touched by grace.

Also reviewed in CR54:
Liz used to be lead singer of the rather good Saltmine band Word Of Mouth. Now she's out there as a solo and this three-song EP gives a reasonable introduction to her talents, with the first song, the haunting and dramatically orchestrated "Call Me" seeping through. "Millenial Tension" is far less effective with a jerky and forgettable melody while "Trust" is a decidedly pretty ballad. Apparently, these tracks were recorded live and though one can applaud the quality of the playing around Liz's ethereal, other-worldly voice and elegantly played piano, charging £10.50 for the three songs here seems a little excessive.

Dear Julie,

How lovely to hear from you. Are you at St Mark's or nearby! We would love to start a more contemporary evening service when the time is right. what do you play? Had a lovely time over half term meeting up with so many different people on the island, met Marcus and Nick from St Ouans which was great...How about a Pentecost Praise event? Who else is musical and keen to play?

Look forward to seeing you all int he new year...

It was March 22nd 2007 and Liz was supposed to be coming to a lady's afternoon in Ashwell, Rutland to give us a little concert and say a few words about her life etc. but she was unfortunately taken ill and was unable to come. Her husband stepped into the breach and played us some of her tracks from the 1999 cd and gave us some lovely anecdotes! I bought the cd having really enjoyed hearing; Roller Coaster, Trust and Loved by You. I play the cd constantly and absolutely love it ... know practically every word now! Please let me know when you are bringing out your next cd, can't wait to hear more.
Phone 'Joy' for confidentially purposes. I would be most grateful. By the way, hope you are better now?
Rachel Gardiner.
