The talented Matt Wanstall (the Tribe, Breakspear, etc) worked on this set but even his dexterity can't hide the fact that Lydia's voice is sweetly pleasant without being in any way distinctive while these songs go down well worn paths of prayerful devotion and worshipful contemplation without really registering. Also Lydia's spoken monologues don't work on CD while despite her Ghanaian origins, this is strictly easy listening gospel, adequately sung and played, but hardly inspiring.
