Whilst originating from Bradford, Lydian Dream's spiritual, or possibly musical home has more connections with Iona and the Lyds make no secret of their desire to tour with that other somewhat better known band. This two-track CD is a well produced instrumental showcasing the guitar prowess of David Brons, which is very impressive. Evidently a disciple of Steve Vai (described as the Lydian king by one guitar magazine!) Dave plays a seven string Ibanez frighteningly quickly, whilst giving the 'Floyd-Rose' trem a fair work out. The band's aim is to be on the heavier side of the Celtic genre, and if this appeals you will no doubt like them.
