Who says white men can't rap? MC Dash (Musical Christian Destroying All Satan Has) proves them wrong with this album. He has a strong. gutsy vocal style and is influenced by rappers such as Marky Mark, TLC and Digital Underground. A couple of the slower tracks have a similar vibe to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". MC Dash became a Christian whilst in prison, so he knows how important it is to get the gospel message out there. Hence the clear, easily understood lyrics and the no messing message which, all the same, manages to avoid all cliches and "Christianese"! "Wonder Why" is particularly note worthy for its graphic and moving description of the crucifixion of Jesus. This album is on the poppier side of gangsta rap. with memorable vocal hooks in many of the songs and plenty of variety in vibe and velocity!
