This is a fine piece of work. Fine singer, fine band, fine songs. Mal and his band play melodic pop/rock which has grown on me with every listen. On first hearing I thought it was okay, but now I can't get it off my CD player. Music that soothes the soul coupled with words that express the joys and struggles of living in relationships with God and people. Like Bono or his compatriot Martyn Joseph, Mal has the rare gift of expressing the things I feel but think nobody else does - until I hear these artists putting them into words and music. Sublime lines: “And when I finally reach the point I'm wondering what the living's for/You walk right up to me and kiss my face.” Listen. Enjoy. Listen again...
