Mammuth hail from Sweden, home of classic rock band Jerusalem. So how do they compare to their illustrious predecessors? This is Mammuth's third full length album and is bursting with hard rock incorporating elements of screamo at times, brutal and full of energy. The album was recorded in Fascination Street Studios in Örebro Sweden by David Castillo and Jens Bogren - who have previously worked with Katatonia and Soilwork. The album also contains a duet with Jan Jämte of Khoma (Roadrunner Records). Their live CV includes Greenbelt and Christmas Rock Night in Germany. The album kicks of with "Piece By Piece" which for me is the highlight of the album, taken from God's point of view as the greed of the world increases while we destroy things God has created, although it implies God misjudged which is incorrect, however this is nitpicking. Lyrically they tackle issues like war, love and self examination. The album does improve with every listen. For their growing fanbase this 2007 release is a must have.
