It's marvellous to witness the creativity flowing from Britain's churches at the moment. I heard this album within hours of listening to an Australian local church album with about the same size and resources as Manchester Vineyard. The difference was marked. While both clearly indicated churches bristling with spiritual fire and worship musicians able to play well enough to stand up to the aural scrutiny of the CD, there the comparison ended. The Australian item was a stupefyingly stylised exercise in live worship indistinguishable from hundreds of similar worship albums since mobile recorders first began to move into Bible weeks and large churches. This item, deftly produced by Andy Green, John de Jong and Phil Smith at the Basement Studios, Manchester, skillfully weaves engaging pop and rock rhythms while vocalists Rachel Kitchenside, Julie Rendell and Andy Green each offer vocals that are truly effecting. The original songs too are all of the highest standard and only when they resort to covers - like the Third Day classic "Your Love O Lord" and David Gate's "I Am Yours" is the effect lessened. Another excellent example of Britain's worship revival.
