On 20 May this year, up to 70,000 Christians across the UK took part in local 'prayer walks' - while in America an estimated two million will march for Jesus. Together For The Gospel is the theme music for the American march. It is a real departure from the by now 'traditional' Make Way Music offering and leans much more towards a performance album rather than participative worship. It has been described as a "Multi-cultural worship experience for American Christians," arranged and produced by Scott V Smith who has also recently produced a new project with Andrae Crouch. It is intended to appeal to the many diverse cultures and traditions in America, which explains the variety of styles and rhythms in the recording. The music book contains two transcriptions of each of the arrangements -a singalong version with piano and vocals, and the complete rhythm section charts from the recording. All I wanted to see was a simple melody line and base line - they're in there somewhere I'm sure, a but it takes a while to decipher.
