There appears to no shortage of teenage artists wanting to be the next "big thing" but in the case of Virginia-based Marie Miller, here is immense talent just waiting to be discovered. Her artistry has developed from when she started singing and playing mandolin from age 11 (the disc contains one brief instrumental), to performing at venues in the US. Marie's mature sounding voice has elements of Jaci Velasquez, Nichole Nordeman and Rebecca St James all in one. In addition, she has contributed to the songwriting of very strong, honest songs on the disc which reveal insight into this young life. Production on this seven-song CD is at a very high standard courtesy of Mark Heimermann (dc Talk, Stacie Orrico), who is also part of the songwriting team, which also includes the hugely underrated Judson Spence. All in all, Marie is a fresh talent who deserves to be heard.
