This is an interesting concept; select 15 songs from the Catholic singer's extensive back catalogue that have been inspired by the book of Psalms, add 15 spoken meditations on each song by Marilla over a synth string backing track, add one final track to sum it all up, and here we have nearly 80 minutes of stuff on one CD. Most likely it would be too much to listen to the whole lot in one go, although it might make sense on a long car journey, but this would be useful as a discussion starter for a house group or Bible study session. Whilst Marilla's legion of fans will already have the songs on other albums, and others might accuse the lady and her record label of opportunist recycling of existing material, that doesn't detract from the value of this as a resource. Worth considering.
