If you've already bought or are intending to buy Martin's full length 'God's Great Dance Floor: Step 01' don't let that discourage you from investing in this EP as well. None of the recordings here are duplicated on the full length and, in fact, the ex-Delirious? man seems to be going from creative strength to strength. His new version of the song "God's Great Dance Floor" (another version of which appeared on 'Movement One' under the title "Back To The Start") is simply breathtaking. On the original EP it started off as a ballad and slowly built to become truly anthemic. The new version shows there's now a party going on as Martin intones, "I feel alive/I come alive/I am alive on God's great dance floor." There are what one reviewer described as "full throttle trumpets, dance beats and club-style electro sounds making this an uber-upbeat musical extravaganza." This EP's other classic is "Angel (Song For Anna)". This is a fine version of a song Martin wrote 12 years ago for his wife Anna under the title "There Is An Angel". With a mesmerising arrangement which starts with elegant piano lines until the entrance of crashing drums and an electric guitar riff this demonstrates that Martin is today a top rate producer as well as songsmith.
