Another one of the growing army of country gospel singers and not a bad one at that. Raybon is more of a Randy Travis rather than a Yolkham or Earle, with a deep rich country voice. No mistaking the straight ahead gospel message in some cracking country tunes like the excellent opening track "Master Of The Wood" or the very neat, up tempo "Shoe 'em Your Sermon". Marty Raybon is a very welcome addition to those country singers who believe what they sing and sing it very well. Apart from the fact he's playing a Takamine on the front cover, hot-dig-itty he even looks like a country star. Who knows Marty, maybe Sparrow will buy you a Gibson for the next album!
