Our most revered singer/songwriter offers this beautifully packaged compilation which brings together memorable moments from his albums spanning 'An Aching And A Longing' (1989) to The Shirley Sessions' (2000). Wherever you listen you find artfully crafted songs and deftly appropriate arrangements that bring out the luminous strength and perception of a brilliant lyricist and gutsily passionate singer. The two new songs, "Thunder And Rainbows" and "This Is Us", are worthy additions to the Joseph songbook while the shimmering poignancy of "Carried In Sunlight", the black humour of "Liberal Backslider", the anthemic joy of "I Will Follow" grip and hold the listener. We can even forgive him his maudlin "Dolphins Make Me Cry". For the Joseph devotee or the new explorer, this is surely a must.
