12 live performances (with a few overdubs!) of full blooded, soulful gospel. Sticking closely to the tried and tested formula Marvin encourages and cajoles the listener to praise God in body, mind and spirit. This album also serves as something of a history lesson, as to the influence of gospel on music as we know it. He takes us through Stevie Wonder soul vocal workouts, R&B vibes and a Commitments-style party raiser in "I Love To Praise Him". The joyful grooves on "I Believe", "All About You" and "Praises", with the latter's call and response moving even the most leaden feet, are the best moments on the album. Elsewhere there are too many forgettable moments. One for existing fans only.
