Matt McGee delivers a debut album that is full of rather lovely acoustic worship songs. Aside from the opening cut "Lord, Come" and "My Dreams Are Of You" the album seems packed with slow songs so one problem is that the songs tend to merge into each other along the way. Highlights include a rather splendid version of the Reuben Morgan song "You Said" and a modern worship version of the classic much done hymn "The Old Rugged Cross". Another favourite is "Who Am I" with its mellow percussion, acoustic guitar and piano arrangement and psalm-like lyrics. As debuts go, this is a good start and establishes McGee but the album doesn't have enough distinctive qualities to make me leap up and down.
