Maxine is doing some excellent work on the thriving but under publicised Midlands gospel scene and it has taken a long time for Cross Rhythms to review this set (it was released in 2013). It shows that Minister Burrell's rich tones are able to bring passion and soul to her songs of praise. Producers Dennis Jarrett and Steve Clarke do a pretty good job in putting together a set of tracks which mix sounds with more funky urban vibes and although Maxine's lyrics on songs like "Everybody Praise The Lord" and "There Is No One Like You O God" are not going to win any songwriting contests, Maxine's voice works well particularly on that gem of a Don Francisco song "Jesus Is The Lord Of The Way I Feel".
