I suspect every review this album will ever receive will begin with the same information. So, to be entirely predictable, I will too. The trio who make up Mesa are all veteran figures in America's CCM scene: Dana Key of Degarmo And Key; soloist Dallas Holm;and lead singer of Harvest Jerry Williams. Together they make a very nice, laid back and mellow sound, with an occasional burst into a fiery rock style like on the Jerry Williams' led "Guilty". But most of the tracks here have almost a West Coast soft rock sound and wouldn't sound out of place on one of those Maranatha Music albums when the label were recording Jesus Music not praise and worship. Mesa should be investigated for all lovers of crafted songwriting and mellow sounds.
