Worship Him Revisited : Volume 1

Originally released in individual form a few years ago, 'Worship Him On The Piano' by Brian Longridge, 'Worship Him On The Guitar' by David Bird and 'Worship Him On The Saxophone' by Michael Haughton come repackaged as a trio-set - hence 'Revisited'. Though there's already a plethora of instrumental albums on the Christian music market, these three, while essentially easy listening in style, do make for surprisingly impressive listening. With around 48 mins playing time per disc we're treated to a superb cross section of mainly well known choruses, along with several of the lead musician's own compositions (esp Longridge). Numerous other talented artists - including Terl Bryant, Simeon Wood and Simon Bernard-Smith - help out on each disc, and while the piano pieces are the most intricate and classical in sound, my favourite is the guitar-based selection from Eden's Bridge's David Bird - his rendition of "O Father Of The Fatherless" and "Change My Heart O God" are delectable. With lyrics to all tunes included, this is indeed a fine, inspiring collection.
