When I reviewed Michael's 'Worship' CD in 2001 I had the temerity to suggest that there were hundreds of worship albums already released that were better than this. But of course for huge numbers of people it was the CCM star's run through of songs from Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Rich Mullins, Paul Baloche and Lenny LeBlanc which connected with their hearts and drew them closer to God. And certainly this recording in Lakeland, Florida does have its own atmosphere and a rich sound - which comes over more powerfully on the 5.1 Surround sound mix featured on the DVD side of the Dual Disc. As well as that you've got concert footage (disappointingly of only two songs "Above All" and "Awesome God"), some over-edited interviews with Michael W Smith and Don Moen and, best of all, a short depiction of what God is doing around the world through worship. Plus, rather incongruously, the DVD offers a trailer for The Second Chance feature film.
