Michelle Deneen has been drawing some great press in the Slates and with this album it's easy to see why. Metal-edged power pop with a taint of sultry blues in a smoke-filled bar. Billy Pack's bass is mixed to the front and drives the material along smoothly whilst Aaron James' guitar squeals it's way sweetly through. Michelle's vocals are soulful and emotional but also powerful. David Huff, president of Giant Records, who also contributes a searing solo to "Blood Stained Robe", said "Michelle Deneen And The Warriors have a musical direction that separates them from any group in music today. The unique style they have chosen will set them apart and affect a style of music in the world today." With recommendations like that this band will do well. If you like your metal a shade mellower try this for size.
