Put this CD on and immediately you enter a time warp - back to the catchy tunes and superficial froth of '60s praise choruses. This is music time forgot, and songs so irritatingly catchy I wish I could forget them too. Mike Anderson is billed as writer of the "Clap Hands Gloria" and "The Kingdom Of Heaven", and the other songs include two from rock operas (as always, precious little of either rock or opera). There are two lead singers, both with pleasant enough voices but prone to go off key, a more than competent children's choir, syrupy harmonies. I found the whole thing excruciating - it may be better suited to others' tastes, but really, who needs these songs? There's nothing wrong with the content, it's good to sing of God's love, but we've all sung many songs that say the same things in the same way. Graham Kendrick took us onto a whole new level of worship songwriting 20 years ago.
