Mike Eldred's vocal style puts you immediately in mind of Steve Camp or Michael W Smith. It's a pity, however, that the same sort of originality which oozes from those veteran artists is sadly lacking in this debut album. 'Never Stop' has been produced by Eric Champion who released his own debut album with Word last year. He also takes the majority of writing/arrangement/programming credits. The much sought after bass guitar of Gary Lunn smoothes itself into "That's Why The Lord Made Us Friends", a duet with Marabeth Jordan, however the rhythm section on all other tracks comes out of a box. The album is not lyrically spectacular with the exception of "All The Difference In The World" which is both lyrically and musically pleasing. If you're looking for an album of half dance tracks/half ballads to slot into your collection this could be for you, but I'm afraid that for me it was wallpaper.
