No, we ain't got our classifications wrong. This is a choir album but with funk master Fred Hammond at the production helm it's got some serious 90s rhythm going on as well and the opener "If I Be Lifted" complete with a belching bass from Fred Hammond and a rap written by Marcus Cross makes this a match for more adventurous sanctified dance jocks to latch on to. Nothing quite makes those ecstatic heights again though Woolfork is a seriously soulful singer in the John P Kee mould and the three dozen or so voices of the Praise Covenant Choir are soulful and thoroughly fired up. Exciting stuff.
