Rapper and singer, Tennessee's Mogli The Iceburg is well-known for experimenting with styles way outside the usual hip-hop box and with this single, featuring the wonderfully named Dying In Designer, is his latest. However, there are lots of snags with this release. For a start, Mogli is a much better rapper than he is a singer and his vocal is barely adequate. Then there's the song - a jangly guitar, doomy indie rock number featuring a sung hook "Step back from me/You're nothing like you used to be." Its suicide-flavoured rap about romantic obsession ("Feel like this might be the only way/Put a pistol right up to my brain") make this an unedifying and very depressing song.
