The four tracks, "We Will Stand", "August Falls", "Walkdown" and "Clear Blue" supply 20 minutes of mellow rock strangely reminiscent of The Housemartins and Beautiful South, probably because of the vocal style of Bob Horne and the skilful application of sax riffs. The musical arrangements are creatively simple, nicely balanced and not too heavy; sometimes the vocal gymnastics may seem a bit more complex than required but this grew on me with repetition; my preferred track was probably "We Will Stand" which has some quite extensive sax solo interludes which add interest, leaving time to ponder which rock I stand on in times of trial. The lyrics are clear, not too overtly evangelistic and therefore likely to have an appeal outside the Church. I was left wanting to hear a full album.
