Raw energy and enthusiasm abound on this set from Neil's New Dawn Studio in West Lothian but these aren't enough to rescue this rock album from a time warp of the late '70s or early '80s. Neil is an able guitarist and plays all the instruments on this recording, but desperately needs a strong producer and an accomplished songwriter to work with him to harness his talent and channel his energy. Also, his singing ability is decidedly limited while the lyrics display unusual theology, "The Answer To Life Is." for example "being happy!" If Neil is to continue to release home produced albums a great deal more care needs to be shown in the quality control department.
