A bit of an oldie, this - having been released back in 2003. The album is a compilation of the best John P Kee's songs from his extensive repertoire - picked from seven previous recordings dating back to the late '80s. These choice songs are given first-class treatment from the formidable 10-member New Life Community Choir. It's evident the tracks have been carefully chosen - for not only are they some of Kee's finest, but they also demonstrate the musical diversity of his backlisting. The first couple in particular have an accessible sound akin to the upbeat style of Alvin Slaughter. "Comfort Me" is another beautifully uplifting number. The soft soothing tones that lead on "The Anointing" are those of Ms Sheila Lakin, though it's a shame the liner-notes don't make this information known; nor do they say that Kee co-renders the inspirational "Wave It Away" with Isaac Carree from Men Of Standard. Then there's "New Life", recorded live and pulled from the '92 album 'We Walk By Faith', which flows in an early Andrae Crouch type style. A fine collection.

Product Description
John P. Kee stands as one of gospel's great exponents of the modern gospel song. He has yet to visit the UK but that has not affected his popularity with fans of the gospel sound. Minister Kee is joined on this fine collection of his works by several choirs, all from his church (New Life Community). They include the Senior Ministry and the General Mass Choir as well as his famous VIP (Victory In Praise) Chorale Ensemble. It's another one of those must have albums from the Verity stable. Songs include: Throw Your Hands Up, So Glad I'm Here, I am Blessed.
