My experience in a church music team tells me this is definitely needed. To have a decent chance at introducing that new song you been inspired by at Spring Harvest (or wherever) you will need; a) a recording, b) the dots (music) and c) is for chords. So here we are, 20 collected new songs from the past little while with a supporting music book. All the names you would expect are present; Abundant Life with "O Lord you are my keeper", Darlene Zschech with "You Are Righteous", Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Stuart Townend, etc, etc. So all in all a good idea and undoubtedly a good tool for any local worship team. The payback is of course that with the only link between the songs being chronology this collection lacks coherence if you listen all the way through and I confess that I found myself flicking over the tracks that I could not imagine us trying on a Sunday morning. So will any of these find their may into the repertoire? No doubt about that and this collection will certainly be a help.
