Joining with 22,000 other people in worship of God through the vehicle of a CD is never an easy exercise for a record reviewer. But thanks to the skill and anointing of the worship leaders and songwriters captured here, plus solid production from Paul Burton and Andrew Phillips, the effect is warming to the soul and in no way a pain to the ear. Matt Redman does a nice job in updating an old Laurence Tuttiet hymn, “Father Let Me Dedicate”, Neil Bennetts and Jules Woodbridge remind us again what a great song Brian Doerksen’s “Jesus Hope Of The Nations” is, and from the moment Eoghan Heaslip tucks in with Chris Tomlin’s “Great Is Your Faithfulness (Unchanging)” one is lifted into worship. I’ve yet to get to New Wine. A visit to the Royal Bath And West Showground in 2004 is on the cards, methinks.
