This is the latest live recording from worship from the annual New Wine Summer conferences held in both Harrogate and Somerset, North and South sites respectively.
The first CD contains live worship led by Vicky Beeching, Eoghan Heaslip and Martyn Layzell among others and some less well-known lead worshippers such as newcomer Bill Donoghue.
It above all showcases the different 'flavours' that each individual worship leader brings to the event.
The musicianship on this CD is superb throughout so no worries there!
My personal favourites on this album were: 'Adoration' (sung by Nick Herbert) and the Layzell penned 'As Jesus walked' which movingly reminds us of the urgency of the mission that God has called us to, ultimately, to reach our local communities with the good news of the Gospel and the love of God: "If not us then who will go and walk as Jesus walked".
My only grumble with this CD is that the aformentioned track does not include the tag 'Glorify your Name' as the track listing suggests, please, get it right ICC.
Minor quibbles aside, this CD will help you encounter God and His presence in a powerful, soul-stirring way.
The second CD contains four bonus acoustic tracks, sheet music for the four songs in question and mp3 teaching on worship from the likes of Matt Redman and Andy Park, 'to truly resource you and your church'.
A very helpful addition for all those involved in church worship.
This whole package is excellent and a must for either someone who attended New Wine last year, a church musician or just a worshipper.
Recommended.
