Live worship recorded at Newfrontiers' youth culture event, this features a batch of songs penned between 2004 to 2007 performed by the top names in modern day worship. Matt Redman, Paul Oakley and Simon Brading provide all but one track with the exception being 'We Rejoice' when Siyoli Lusaseni and band praise in both English and an African dialect. Disappointingly this album features no new songs and, although punchily performed here, the lack of new material does drag the project down. Having said that, there's plenty of atmosphere on "Our God He Reigns", "Love So Amazing" and "Dancing Generation" and I'm sure particularly special and memorable for those who contributed to the recording of one of these massive events. Had Tom De Longe and his fellow Blink 182 band mates ever decided to write and record some worship stuff it surely wouldn't have sounded too far away from Simon Brading's "All That You Are" especially at the start, somewhat uncanny and a good catchy song to boot. Hopefully, next year's Newday album will push back the boundaries a bit more.
