A new name? Maybe, but Nick Haigh is a gifted multi-instrumentalist and a session player with some 40 plus album credits lo his name. This album, with his wife Anita, brings together his skills as a musician, Anita's beautiful vocals and their love for traditional folk tunes and Celtic spirituality. Nick and Anita are companions of the Northumbria Community and it is possibly this genuine search for the roots of Celtic spirituality that gives their album an authentic flavour that is not found in similar emulative works. The full flavours of the acoustic guitar, seasoned mostly with Nick's violin, are a palatable mixture in evocative songs like "Captivate Me" and "Open To You" and it's nice to see the occasional hymn here and there. Nick's instrumental skills are given full vent with the instrumentals like "Strange Land" and "All Around The World" in which he gets to show off a bit with his bhodran. 'Celtic Roots & Rhythms' is an album that has captured the traditional and spiritual feel perfectly,

I was introduced to Nick and Anita Haigh's beautiful and soul lifting music last summer. I have "Haven" and "Homecoming". I was wondering, can one buy sheet music and / or a book of their songs that would include a piano accompaniment and the guitar cords? It would not be used for the purpose of recording. I would like to use some of the songs in our worship services. If it is availabe please send the information for ordering the music. If the music has not yet been published in this form, please let me know that, too. Thank you so very much.
