"You'd had to have been there," were my thoughts after listening to this live performance from this praise and worship leader from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was obviously a vibrant faith-filled occasion, and while the atmosphere is captured by this recording, I still felt I was missing out on a lot of the experience. The songs here are lively and varied and sung with total commitment by Morgan, who can handle both the loud up tempo songs and the quiet reflective ones. Much of the material here was written by Morgan herself, while quite a few more were penned by the project's musical director Eddrick Hodges. The backing musicians were well up to the task, though I wondered why there was a need for studio overdub singers. The strongest tracks for me came one after the other towards the end of the album - "There Is A Place" is a soulful mid tempo piece that should have broad appeal, "Holy Spirit" is a soft prayerful song with the renowned Antonio Neal guesting on vocals, while "Lamb's Book Of Life" is a foot stomping number with hot guitar, keyboard, brass and percussion.
