There is of course an ever-growing list of mega churches, conferences and events which are grabbing the attention of the world wide Church by bringing to us many of the songs we now sing in our churches. Atlanta's North Point Ministries have now broken through to add to the list. InsideOut is North Point's youth arm and carry out a similar function that Hillsong United do for Hillsong. Featuring new songs and some well chosen covers like "Forever Reigns", "Furious" and the Hawk Nelson-penned "My Next Breath", the album is strong if not exactly innovative. Worship leaders Seth Condrey, Heath Baltzinger, Eddie Kirkland and Chris Cauley (the latter once being featured on The Voice US Season Two) are passionately worshipping before an enthusiastic student throng. Seth Condrey does particularly well on the Hillsong/One Sonic Society cover "Forever Reign" while the Kristian Stanfill composed "Always" is another standout. The title track is a simple song of adoration while the Chris Cauley-led "God Is For Us" focuses on God's power to enable us to overcome sin. With four electric guitars featured, there is a satisfying wall of sound and the drumming is particularly tight. If you haven't caught up yet with 2012 album and are looking for energised worship, this could be one for you.
