The market is currently jammed full of collections containing the latest worship songs, often sung by well known names. This collection is billed as '30 worship songs that you, the church like to sing', quoting success in the Official Chart Company chart as a yardstick. The cover lists the songwriters against the songs, but only in small print states the artists singing on this album are the Oasis Worship Band who turn out to be an anonymous studio ensemble. That said, the experienced session singers and musicians deliver reasonable renditions of classic songs like "10,000 Reasons" (Redman), "Majesty" (Smith), "Everlasting God" (Brown) and the new arrangement of "Amazing Grace" (Tomlin). The number of tracks is attractive though this set is likely to face strong competition in the extremely crowded modern worship market.
