It seems the Christian public's taste for pop punk bands, particularly in America, is growing almost daily and though this team from Hawaii are unlikely to reach the heady sales heights of Relient K, they do show an engaging, energetic and fun-filled approach to their rawk music. Lead singer and lyric writer Reed Cromwell has a nice line in bellowed vocals while the punchily-propelled rhythms are all present and correct with some crisp production from Bob Burch. Lyrics are wide ranging, taking in the "I love life" meditation on sunkissed beaches et al to the confessional need-to-get-back-to-God song "Kill The Grey". A song about Heaven is also a standout. Well worth investigating if pop punk's your thing.

Product Description
he guys in Olivia the Band, originally from Oahu, Hawaii, but now based out of California, are die-hard Christians at heart who show their faith through their pop/punk music on this, their debut album.

Why is a group of four guys named 'Olivia'? Justin Abilla, lead guitarist, had a still-born sister that was named Olivia, and he named the band in her memory, knowing that she is in heaven, walking with God.

'We definitely want to represent God through our music and show kids that you don't need to follow the ways of the world to have a good time.' Justin Abilla
