Even if a band is aiming at a retro sound, contemporary production methods don't often result in the ring of authenticity for the era in question. However, when I heard "Breath Of Life" (the opening track) I had to double check that it wasn't just a re-release from a long-forgotten Christian country rock outfit. Not only is their style comparable with the Eagles or some of those early Maranatha! Music bands circa 1973, but there's also that slightly "rough around the edges" dimension to the sound, which you don't often hear these days. Looking on the band's website, songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Jim Foster looks like he could have travelled forward in time from the '70s also. As the album goes on you're treated to 10 more tracks of a similar ilk, from soft ballads to the earnest rock of "Seeds Of Hope". The child's prayer/singing at the start of the title track is particularly cheesy. "OneBody is a beautiful ministry," comments Jim on his web page - but as the saying goes, it's all in the eye of the beholder.

My father was in this group and each song that was included in the album had much time and heart put into it. I am very disappointed to see that someone would think any part of the CD would be "cheesy". I think anyone would enjoy this CD. I hope it blesses your life. God Bless.

Personally, I don't know this group, but Peter Dilly's opinion is completely off base and very distastefull. First of all your remark about the prayer being cheesy that was given by a child, if you bothered to read the cover, is very honest and heartfelt.
Something you obviously don't share. It is one thing to give an opinion about their music, which I don't share yours, but to land blast a child or a project dedicated to children in general is very sad. I would highly recomend this CD to anyone.
